Sec. 905. (a) Except as provided in this section, the provisions of this Act shall take effect on the date of Its enactment.

(b) Title II⁹⁷⁵ (except section 201(a)⁹⁷⁶), section 403,⁹⁷⁷ and section 502(c)⁹⁷⁸ shall take effect on the day on which the first Director of the Congressional Budget Office is appointed under section 201(a).⁹⁷⁹

(c) Except as provided in section 906,⁹⁸⁰ title III⁹⁸¹ and section 402⁹⁸² shall apply with respect to the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 1976, and succeeding fiscal years, and section 401⁹⁸³ shall take effect on the first day of the second regular session of the Ninety-fourth Congress.⁹⁸⁴

(d) The amendments to the Budget and Accounting Act, 1921, made by sections 601,⁹⁸⁵ 603,⁹⁸⁶ and 604⁹⁸⁷ shall apply with respect to the fiscal year beginning on July 1, 1975, and succeeding fiscal years, except that section 201(g)⁹⁸⁸ of such Act (as added by section 601⁹⁸⁹) shall apply with respect to the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 1976, and succeeding fiscal years and section 201⁹⁹⁰ of such Act (as added by section 601⁹⁹¹ shall apply with respect to the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 1978, and succeeding fiscal years. The amendment to such Act made by section 602⁹⁹² shall apply with respect to the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 1976, and succeeding fiscal years.
