Oversight
For the purposes of budget law, the term oversight means the Congressional review of Federal governmental agencies and in particular how they are administering tghe resources provided to them through Congressional appropriations. Congressional oversight entails maintaining accountability on the part of the President and the agencies he administers to ensure the law, as enacted, is being “faithfully executed“.
