Congressional Research Service

Pursuant to section 321 of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1970, the Congressional Research Service is required to file with the Library of Congress an annual report detailing its activities during the preceding fiscal year. The reports submitted by CRS since from fiscal year 1995 are below:

the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1970
Section 321 of the LRA of 1970 amended the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1976, and reformed, and renamed, the Legislative Research Service thereby establishing the current Congressional Research Service. Subsection (i), which requires the annual report, reads as follows:
(i) The Director of the Congressional Research Service shall prepare and file with the Joint Committee on the Library at the beginning of each regular session of Congress a separate and special report covering, in summary and in detail, all phases of activity of the Congressional Research Service for the immediately preceding fiscal year.
