Appropriated Mandatory

Summary

An appropriated mandatory is a synonym for an appropriated entitlement. Neither is formally defined in law, though in section 302(a) requires that, in the House, the “amounts allocated to the Committee on Appropriations shall be further divided … between discretionary and mandatory amounts or programs.”
