Budget and Accounting Procedures Act of 1950

Summary
The Budget and Accounting Procedures Act of 1950 was enacted as part of the implementation of the recommendations made by the Hoover Commission. This Commission studied the methods of a wide variety of governmental functions and issued an extensive report with recommendations as to how to improve the efficiency of the Federal Government. This Act was intended to improve the functions in terms of the accounting methodology of Federal agencies.
